Flexible rubber eyeguards reduce ambient light and glare reflections, thus protecting your dark adaptation, while providing the viewer with comfort for maximum visual effectiveness. Eyeguards assure proper eye-to-lens positioning and also protect the optical surface from grime and oil. The eyeguards are made of flexible, yet strong rubber so they will stretch a bit (2-3mm) beyond the nominal diameter noted below to fit over many other eyepieces.

Nominal diameter ~39.5mm (unstretched). Height = 17mm. Insertion depth = 5.5mm.
These are from Agena's 1.25" 8-24mm zoom eyepiece. Will also fit the current 1.25" 8-24mm zoom eyepieces sold under the Celestron and Meade brands. As a reference, the diameter of the barrel extension this eyeguard sits over on the zoom eyepiece is a male T thread with a diameter of 41.8mm. Can be folded down.
