Many GSO Newtonian Reflector Telescopes come with a very capable dual speed Crayford focuser. While that included focuser is adequate for visual or light imaging use, serious astrophotographers might want to upgrade to the more robust and heavier-duty linear bearing Crayford focuser version.

The linear bearing version has 50mm of tube travel compared to 40mm in the original focuser, and its body is a bit taller due to which you will also lose 5mm of available backfocus compared to the original configuration.
If you are purchasing one of the following GSO telescopes from us, you can purchase this item to upgrade the included focuser (GSO Newtonian reflectors not listed below already include this linear bearing focuser) at the time of your telescope order.

If you opt for this focuser upgrade, please note at:
1) It will take an extra day or possibly two for us to ship your order.
2) We will not include the original Crayford focuser that the telescope comes with. Instead, we will replace that with the linear bearing version and test your telescope collimation again before shipping it to you.
