Long Perng LER (Long Eye Relief) eyepieces delivers crisp high-magnification views of the moon, planets, and compact deep-sky objects. With a focal length of 6mm, this 7 element eyepiece offers a flat field across its 55-degree apparent field of view. It also features a long 20mm eye relief for comfortable viewing, even when wearing eyeglasses. All optical elements are fully multi-coated and edge blackened for maximum transmission and high contrast. The eyepiece also includes pop-down rubber eye guards to keep stray light out of your eyes.
The body is CNC machined and includes a rubber grip for easy handling and a tapered nosepiece to help prevent the eyepiece from slipping when not fully secure in the focuser. The Long Perng LER eyepiece weighs just 216g and has a length of about 106mm with eye guards fully extended.
Note: The barrel of the 1.25” Long Perng Long Eye Relief eyepieces are threaded for M28.6x0.6 filters sold by Orion – in most cases, they should be compatible with standard 1.25” filter threads from other manufacturers.
