Important Instructions for US Tax-Exempt Customers

A. If you are a tax-exempt customer, and if your first order with us will exceed $200 (excluding shipping), you must first register for a new account on our site. Once approved, you can log into your tax-exempt account to place tax free orders. We regret that we cannot accept tax-exemption requests for an initial order of less than $200, although there is no such minimum requirement for subsequent orders. For orders under $200, you can place a regular order with tax and file for a refund with your state.

Orders placed with sales tax without following the exemption process or without logging into your Agena account cannot be changed after you place your order nor can we refund your sales tax.

B. If you already have a tax-exempt account with us, please log into your account.

C. If you do not have a tax-exempt account and wish to place an order over $200, please proceed as follows: 

  1. Create a new account on our site. 
  2. When you create your account, set your shipping address correctly to the actual address your orders will be shipped to.
  3. When done, email us to let us know the email address for your Agena account.
  4. In this email, also send us a pdf or jpg copy of your resale certificate clearly listing your state's sales tax exemption number for your institution. 

Once we have the above, we will designate your account as tax exempt within 2 business days and inform you via email. After that, you will be able to place tax-free orders if you are logged into your Agena account when you place your order online.
