Levelling the pier – for solar observations
Generally precise levelling of the Panther mount is not needed. When a two-star alignment is made the mount firmware will compensate for the setup angle with perfect results.
If a one-star alignment is made the accuracy does depend on the levelling of the Pier. This set of adjustable feet can be mounted on the Folding Pier. For solar observations this can be very convenient.
Levelling feet principle
The levelling feet are installed on the folding pier and stays permanently mounted on the pier. The pier legs can be stored inside the pier tube with the feet installed. Each foot can be adjusted by 15mm.
