Vixen's new SSW Ultra Wide eyepieces feature an 83° FOV and 7 element design. High-reflective and low-dispersion glass, including lanthanum and tantalum, are used in the manufacture of these Japanese made eyepieces. High transmission lens multi-coating over all the lens surfaces in combination with special coating on the lens connecting surfaces deliver high contrast sharp star images across the entire field of view. 100% light volume is evident over the entire 83° FOV with no vignetting even with fast f/4 optics. This delivers bright images, with no ghost or flare, for an extraordinarily clear field of view.
