Flexible rubber eyeguards reduce ambient light and glare reflections, thus protecting your dark adaptation, while providing the viewer with comfort for maximum visual effectiveness. Eyeguards assure proper eye-to-lens positioning and also protect the optical surface from grime and oil. The eyeguards are made of flexible, yet strong rubber so they will stretch a bit (3-5mm) beyond the nominal diameter noted below to fit over many other eyepieces.

Nominal diameter ~40.0mm (unstretched). Height = 14mm. From GSO's 2" Kellner and SuperView eyepieces. As a reference, the diameter of the barrel extension this eyeguard sits over on the SuperView eyepieces is 44mm. Can be folded down. Made in Taiwan.
Relative to our EG07 rubber eyeguard, which is almost the same diameter, the material of this item is a little thinner and a little more stretchable.
