Flexible rubber eyeguards reduce ambient light and glare reflections, thus protecting your dark adaptation, while providing the viewer with comfort for maximum visual effectiveness. Eyeguards assure proper eye-to-lens positioning and also protect the optical surface from grime and oil. The eyeguards are made of flexible, yet strong rubber so they will stretch a bit (3-5mm) beyond the nominal diameter noted below to fit over many other eyepieces.

Nominal diameter ~47mm (unstretched). Height = 17.8mm. These are from Agena's 2" 38mm Super Wide Angle eyepiece. As a reference, the diameter of the barrel extension this eyeguard sits over on the 2" 38mm SWA eyepiece is 49.4mm. Can be folded down. Made in China.
